Based in Malaysia, Lalitha is an active founder, startup community leader and design enthusiast.
Lalitha Wemel is currently the Regional Director of Community for Asia Pacific at Techstars; the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed. Since 2015, she has led partnerships, programming, and startup ecosystem development across the region to support the growth of local entrepreneurs and their communities. Lalitha works extensively with leading community builders, corporate & government partners across the region in developing strategy, executing corporation innovation programs and leading over 300 startup growth activities, annually.
Her work with Techstars across the last 6 years has allowed her to impact thousands of early-stage entrepreneurs and founders in taking their ideas from inspiration to reality, leveraging technology, education, and network. Google For Startups, Temasek, and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are some of the partners she has worked with in APAC.
